As you might already know, I like challenges. Visiting the Maldives as a backpacker seemed like one. Keeping in mind that I would still have 137 countries to visit after the Maldives, I knew that overspending my budget would not be the best idea. Fortunately, the Maldives definitely CAN be budget-friendly. I spent less than I planned and visited more than I expected. I am not that proud of the video on my social media, though. To be honest, I even had problems finding local people to perform for.
